One, two, buckle my shoe...

Have you ever thought of the number of numbers you are associated with? I conservatively estimate it to be easily around 50.

The date of your birth ( & time of your birth)
Your house # / apartment #
Your SSN
Passport #, VISA #
Checking a/c #, Investment account #, savings a/c #, etc etc
Credit card #s
The licsense plate on your car (plus the vehicle identification #)
Driver's License #
Insurance #s - health and dental and vehicle

Work Badge / ID #
Phone #s - home, work, cell.
Fax #
Cube #
Service Tag # on your computer
All your airline frequent flier, hotel frequent guest numbers

And so on and so FOURTH. (Alright, no smart alecky comments about the correct usage here please. It's intentional. GEDIT?? :P)

Boggling, isn't it? Numbers surround us, they seem to define our existence, to solidify our reality (to the world).
At the end of the day, you're just a number!

(Oh, and not to mention the plethora of USER ids and passwords we own. That's another can of worms…)

Very pessimistic take on numerals indeed. Oh, what the heck. Its true. You're right. We are surrounded in a sea of numbers.

And thats why the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy's headquarter's chief had a special card that stored all numbers, usernames, passwords, retinal scans, finger prints, etc. So that one swipe of it would do.
